"Refuse to fall down
If you cannot refuse to fall down,
refuse to stay down.
If you cannot refuse to stay down,
lift your heart toward heaven,
and like a hungry beggar,
ask that it be filled.
You may be pushed down.
You may be kept from rising.
But no one can keep you from lifting your heart
toward heaven
only you.
It is in the middle of misery
that so much becomes clear.
The one who says nothing good
came of this,
is not yet listening." ― Clarissa Pinkola Estés

Twenty hours went into this piece... 3 of those went into the writing of the article. This piece nearly did me in. So many times I wanted to throw it away. I re-drew it twice, reinvented the color scheme "quice" (what's the word for 5 times?)=D ...but I kept fighting for it, and I think it turned out okay. It's interesting how the creative process is its own force to be reckoned with and I --just the mercenary that does its bidding.
My spirit didn't give up even though my mind put up a giant fight with it. Haha... That being said-- Part 11 of my Labyrinth: "Spirit, my Truth"
__
"I can feel it with my spirit" --the mind cannot stand this, it fights fiercely against this answer: I can FEEL it. Because the mind wants an absolute. It wants total control. Proof. Facts. Linear aspects. Tangible, tactile things (masculine realm). That is why the mind is the gateway between the body (masculine) and the spirit (feminine). --It is therefore a paradox... Bend your brain further and learn the truth... | #KristiStout ♡ (11 of 69)

When light breaks, it becomes even more beautiful. ♡
So, THIS gorgeous creature happened... I think the last time I saw nature do this (phenomenal) dazzling display of broken light was when I was a kid, maybe 30 years ago --in the Rockies? Then there was Peru 12 years ago, coming out of Macchu Picchu --where we encountered 6 rainbows, all along us-- near some waterfalls and also after a rain, which was so phenomenal they stopped the train just to respectfully take in, what we were looking at.
But this one sits right up there. It was so big, right over my house ..I couldn't get far enough away to get the entire thing in one shot. Like we were right IN IT. A COMPLETE rainbow with a double one above it!! Complete!! Brightest thing I'd ever seen, too. Camera phone pics don't capture what we were ACTUALLY seeing... the time it came to me too... was poignant...I've been having a "crisis of faith." I don't know anymore if this is any kind of special sign... but in that moment it made me feel truly connected to something magical... I'll never forget this moment as long as I live. If all the world could feel consistently like this rainbow made me feel, we would indeed be a magical people. {♡} :::Sacred Wild Encounters::: {♡} Love,
Kristi
"Feral" is merely something trying to operate according to its nature in a tamed environment ("tamed environment" = our conditioned truth). It’s the tamed environment that is the problem, not the feral thing itself. With the mind adjusted and placed in a proper environment, directed in right ways, we can do wonders for the greater good. Because it’s such a powerful thing. ...a very sacred tool that has, I feel, been fast asleep on autopilot with no plotted course.

We are meant to be physical here, and that concept is in plain sight. Every day, in the mirror.
This world is made of tactile, feeling, experiences — themes and things that require us to be in our body and having experience. Simply being aware of this, I feel, unites our Divine spark with our physical being. It embodies a concept of knowing that we are in this world, but not of it.
We are proverbial visitors here, that is to say, Divine sparks having a physical experience.
